| This is Toby Haynes' second award really, after Best Filming. He directed two episodes from series one of Being Human, but properly came to fame when he directed the series five finale of Doctor Who, The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, and then went on to direct the superb A Christmas Carol and this year's The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon, all done with great skill.
